Diabetes Services
People with diabetes can now get subsidised diabetic products at Friendlies Chemist Subiaco in Rokeby Rd.
The store is accredited as part of the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS). By registering with the NDSS through the pharmacy, people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes can get their syringes, needles, blood and urine test strips, etc. at greatly reduced prices.
Blood glucose monitors are also available for sale and our trained staff can teach you how to use them.
For a small fee clients can also become a member of Diabetes Australia WA (DAWA). This membership means you can receive current information on diabetes education, research, diet and lifestyle, support groups, etc. DAWA membership also offers member prices on such items as blood glucose meters, books, special injection systems, etc.
